Multi-Tiered System of Support

We implement a comprehensive instructional plan that leads to high levels of academic achievement for 100% of our students.

 

At the CIC, we use a Multi-Tiered System of Support to grow all our students toward high levels of academic achievement. In a multi-tiered system of support, blocks of time are dedicated to teaching grade level standards, remediating students who are struggling with the content, and enriching students who master the content. More information on each tier can be found below.

Tier 1 - Core Program

Instructional time set up to provide high quality instruction on grade level standards to all students.

Tier 2 - Supplemental Program

Instructional time set up to provide enrichment for students who have mastered the Tier 1 concept and remediation for students who have not yet mastered the Tier 1 concept.

Tier 3 - Intensive Supports

Instructional time set up to provide remediation for students who have gaps in their learning below their current grade level. If students do not have any below grade level skill gaps, Tier 3 time is used to extend their learning on a number of different topics.
